AusUni is a private Australian company formed as a spin-off from research conducted at Macquarie University. The company was formed to develop and commercialise a breakthrough closed aquaculture system for production of premium quality Sea Urchin roe (gonads).

     Our aim is to, within 3 years, implement Australia’s initial closed system sea urchin farm that will:

• Extend the production season to 12 months per annum
• Facilitate improved quality control regimes
• Achieve higher production rates
• Increase worldwide demand by introducing new products and expanding markets geographically
